The Jozi Film Festival began in 2012 and was initially created to provide a platform for local filmmakers and reach audiences under serviced by traditional cinemas. The Johannesburg-based festival began accepting entries from around the world in 2014 and is now firmly established as one of the sub-continent's leading film festivals.
Following the success of 2017 partnership, the Discovery Channel Don’t Stop Wondering Award returned for a second consecutive year. After receiving over 200 entries from all over the continent, Discovery renewed its partnership one again in 2018 with the Jozi Film Festival to find its next great African filmmaker.
The campaign targeted the promotion at a younger audience - featuring fresh faced millennials, with a pacy edit and a youthful voice-over.
Artwork for the print campaign aligned with the On-Air spots was also marketed digitally via DStv.
